Services To The Rail Industry

PCMS supports Passenger and Freight Train Owners and Operators with a comprehensive range of Condition-Based Maintenance products and services for their Rolling Stock. These services focus on the need for Operators to target maintenance cost reductions whilst achieving the highest levels of reliability of their Rolling Stock.

The primary services offered are -

• Condition assessment - based on in-depot measurement & subsequent analysis
• Condition monitoring - using a range of investigative and analytical tools and technologies
• Management, web-storage and analysis of oil and grease samples

• Fault monitoring and failure mode analysis of components and equipment
• Maintenance schedule reviews
• Advising and implementing CBM best-practice

Further to an investigative phase, PCMS will provide recommendations for appropriate reliability improvement initiatives, on-going monitoring regimes or amendment of the frequency and content of aspects of the scheduled Maintenance programme.

Product supply & support

PCMS will also be happy to supply or recalibrate relevant condition monitoring equipment, including the Emerson range of Vibration Analysis equipment, for which PCMS is an authorised distributor. PCMS will arrange any necessary commissioning of the equipment, as well as providing appropriate training and future upgrade and recalibration support.

Experience

PCMS have experience with high speed, urban and metro applications throughout the UK, working in close association with operators, ROSCOs, train maintenance companies and the suppliers of rolling stock equipment. Overseas experience includes class 1 railroads and passenger operators in North America.
